Alzheimer’s of Glynn/Brunswick, Inc.

Alzheimer’s of Glynn/Brunswick, Inc. was founded in 1994 with the mission to support victims of Alzheimer’s Disease and related disorders and their families; and to educate the public about the disease.  We are headquartered in Brunswick, Georgia and serve Glynn and surrounding counties.  Our office is located inside Southeast Georgia Health System. 

Alzheimer’s of Glynn/Brunswick provides the following services to Glynn and surrounding counties:

· Free Information and Referrals

· Angel Watch Safety Program

· Lending Library

· 24-hour telephone support

· Individual Counseling

· Quarterly Newsletter

· In-service training for medical, health, police, nursing home and home care professionals

· Respite Program

Aid and Attendance Benefit for Veterans

Respite Care Program

In-home respite care (non-medical services such as companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and shopping) provides relief for exhausted caregivers. Services are provided through agencies that are licensed, bonded, and trained in dementia care.  Schedules are arranged according to the needs of each family.

We are able to provide these services for low and moderate income families through the generosity of a grant from the Episcopal Church Women of Christ Church, Frederica. For information and application, please visit our Respite Program Page.

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities in Coastal Georgia?

HOCG partners with local agencies within Glynn and McIntosh Counties to offer a wide variety of flexible, inspiring volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, and community groups.   Volunteers can sign up for projects, agencies can manage volunteers, and corporations can learn how to manage their volunteer events through the site.
