Free Information and Referrals

· Alzheimer’s of Glynn/Brunswick offers free information and referrals to visitors and callers to our office. Pamphlets about the disease, information about legal and financial issues, and referrals to area doctors, assisted living, nursing home and respite care are available.

Lending Library

· Originally funded by the Pilot Club, our lending library continues to grow and thrive thanks to a donation from the Susanna Wesley Guild of Christ Church, Frederica. We have books and videos that can be borrowed by anyone interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia.  For more information on the Jean Hatch Library, please click here.

24-hour Telephone Support

· Through the gracious donation of answering services by RSVP Communications, Inc, of Brunswick, we are able to provide a “human voice” to phone calls placed to our office phone number all day, every day.

Support Groups

· We offer four support group opportunities for family members and caregivers of individuals with dementia disorders. 

· The first Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM, a Caregivers Support Group meets at Southeast Georgia Health System in Conference Room 4(Respite service is available for this meeting.  Please call at least three days in advance so that proper arrangements can be made.)

· The second Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM, a support group for caregivers and those with dementia meets at St. Marks Episcopal Church in the education building.

· The third Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM, our Caregivers Support Group meets at Fairhaven Assisted Living Residence on Glynco Parkway in the library

· The fourth Thursday of each month a Caregivers Support Group meets at St. Simons United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM in the parish hall

Individual Consultation

· If you are in need of someone to talk to about Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving issues, please call our office to set up an appointment.  This service is free of charge.

Quarterly newsletter

· Our quarterly newsletter is sent free of charge to caregivers and any others who request to be on our mailing list.  It includes updates on our organization’s events, new research, caregiver information and updates on services.  You can also view the latest edition here.

Respite Program

· Thanks to a generous grant from the St. Mary’s United Methodist Church Foundation, Alzheimer’s of Glynn/Brunswick is able to provide relief to caregivers through the respite program.   For more information, guidelines and application, please click here
